Tennis Star

The reason we went to Wyoming this weekend was to see Paul's little or should I say younger brother play tennis. It was regionals this weekend. We missed his two games on Friday. He won both of those. On Satuday he played for the championship. He ended up placing 2nd but played really well and it was so fun to watch.

Playground

They had this fun playground at the city park that the kids absolutely loved. They climbed, ran, spun, rested (long enough to get a drink), swung, ran some more. They were wore out.

Anthropoligist

We went to Wyoming this past weekend and Brody was digging up rocks and moving them around. He had buckets full of them. If it isn't digging up dinosaur bones then it is rocks

I love food

Tuesday was the first day of cereal for Colton. I was going to start cereal the middle of October but I got tired of feeding him so often. He was so excited to eat the cereal. He opened his mouth wide and his arms were moving so fast he could have been flying. He absolutely loves it. He will grab my finger and help shove the food into his mouth. Cereal of course is all over the place, his face, hands, arms, sometimes in his hair. I'm a little rusty, it has been a few years since I fed a baby. Needless to say he eventually gets some to eat. Their are still moments that he would rather nurse and he lets me know, but he loves food. I can't wait to start fruits/vegetables. I love it when they finally start eating solids.

Thumb or Pacifier that is the question

Okay, you see it. He has his thumb in his mouth. Yes when they are little they are so cute sucking their thumb, not so cute when they get older. He finds it sometimes and uses it, other times he will take the pacifier. I am afraid that the thumb is going to win this one, as much as I try to give him the pacifier. It is much easier to take away the pacifier than it will be the thumb.

Going Nuts!!!

This is Brody's latest collection. He comes home almost everyday with a pocket full of acorns.

funny story: The other day I was sitting on the porch with my sister in law, Brook. Brody wispers in my ear "don't tell her about my nuts." He wanted to show her his collection of acorns.

Aggie Family Day

They were doing a little cheer thing so Kaylee and I stopped to see what is going on. As of now she wants to be a cheerleader.
Here is her stunt with the USU guy cheerleaders.

This is Paul's brother, he works for the USU Alumni Center. He was holding down the info booth and helping all over the place.

While Brody and Paul were standing in the rock climbing line (at least an hour) Kaylee decided to go to Velcro jump. She loved it, she wanted to keep jumping and sticking but the girl in charge told her, her time was up. I wasn't sure if she would be able to unstick herself.
Brody doing what is loves to do, climb, climb, climb. He stood in the line for about an hour waiting to rock climb. He did the medium climb and climbed up to the top and rang the bell. He was on cloud nine.

Our cute little Aggies. USU gets new game day shirts every year. These are this years shirts. Go Blue or Go Home.

It is all gone

On Saturday we had my cousin Brook cut our hair. She is at a local Beauty college. I told her we would cut Kaylee's hair just below her shoulder. Brook said she cut a little girls hair shorter and it was so cute. I said go ahead if Kaylee wanted it short. She said she did.
After we got our hair cut we went out to the van. Here is our conversation, in tears:
Kaylee: I don't like my hair.
Me: How come, it looks so cute.
Kaylee: I didn't want it cut short.
Me: It will grow back, we won't cut it short again.
Kaylee: You will forget.
Me: No I won't.
This went on for about 5 minutes. Finally I got her to sit in her seat and we went home. We get home and she didn't want to get out of the car. (still crying). I went in and warned Paul and Brody to say nice things about her hair (not that they would say anything mean, but I wanted to make sure, no jokes boys). I finally had to carry her in the house.
Brody came out to the van and asked why she was crying, I told him she didn't like her hair cut. He said I like it, it's cute.
Yes she finally likes her hair and thinks it is cute.

4 months old

I love this picture. It looks like we curled all that hair. That is how it looks when he is out of the tub.
We went for his 4 month check up on Friday. He is 17 lbs. and 25 1/2 ". Yes, he is in the 86% on his weight. He is our chunky monkey. But he, like his brother is always on the move. He is not crawling or rolling over yet, but when he is sitting on our laps he likes to push with his legs and rock back and forth. So we have to hang on tight.

He gets this cute concerned look on is face. He brings such happiness and joy to our family.

1st day of preschool

Kaylee off to preschool. She was so excited to go. She goes to preschool with one of her friends, Nicole. She loves it. She comes home everyday and tells me about it or the two girls talk non-stop on the way home about the day and singing songs.

August

Okay this might do it for catching up on the summer fun. We bought a watermelon and had our own contest. Oops, it wasn't seedless. Swallow the seeds or spit them out.

First grade, can you believe it. We can't have a kid in first grade. Am I that old to have a child in first grade. He absolutely loves first grade and his teacher. He comes home most days worn out, and asks to go to bed at 7 pm. Of course his favorite subject is PE, and he enjoys recess. He has a little locker outside his classroom to keep his back pack and coat, and other stuff that goes in a locker. On the educational side of it he says he loves the math and science. It is so much fun to hear about his day at school and with his friends.

This is at the county fair, this is a toy you can have in your back yard. Who wouldn't want an airplane in your yard.

Also at the fair. Brody and Kaylee riding ponies. (Thanks Grandma McKinnon) They love riding horses despite not being around them alot or hardly ever.

A big tire, a boys dream to climb, climb and climb. The kids loved climbing all over the tractors, and farm equipment.

Our cute little boy, he is so much fun and so happy. With lots of facial expressions.

Brody's school pool party. It didn't happen at the end of last year because it rained. So we had it last weekend. This is one of his friends he was playing tag with. It looks more like kiss tag.

Colton waiting to get into the pool.

Loving the water and each other, and enjoying being big brother and sister.

July

Okay I am playing catch up on this summer so here it goes with lots of pictures and probably very few information.

This is Colton about 3 months old, he loves to be sitting up and seeing everything. I'm afraid as soon as he learns to roll over, crawl that he will be gone and walking before we know it.

Brody, Landon, and Kaylee enjoying each others company. They have not seen Landon for over a year(he was living in Florida) and were so excited to see him and play with him.

Anyone want a truck!!! We have been trying to sell this truck for the past 2 1/2 months. Lots of inquiries but no takers. Paul has decided that it costs too much, especially with gas prices.

Tubing with my brother at Hyrum Dam. Paul is trying to keep the tube out of the water. Kaylee is not in the water, their is a little weight difference here. I guess I should have gone with Kaylee, (it would still be tilting) but who would have taken the pictures.

This is a picture of our little princess at my parents house in Idaho.

Cousins, Weston and Colton, talking with one another. Weston was all about smiles and talking, and Colton was a little concerned.

Brody playing T-ball this summer. He enjoyed it but can't wait to play baseball with a pitcher. He would always hit the ball over the bases. I know were he got his love for sports from. (ME - okay his dad loves to play sports also)

Kaylee participating in a watermelon eating contest. Brody didn't want to participate, so he just watched.

This is a lizard that Paul caught for Brody in the mountains. We kept him for a few days, but I didn't want him getting lost in our house, plus I didn't want him to die so back the mountains he went.

One of our many trips to Bear Lake. I thought this was so cute of Brody helping Kaylee get into the raft. They are a ways off from the shore. Paul takes them out while he is snorkling, sometimes they bail ship.

Taking a break at the canyon by the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls before we go to a reunion. Okay, we had to visit Sportsmans Warehouse.

Kaylee loving being a big sister and helper. The kids absolutely love their little brother. He gets lots of attention and lots of hugs and kisses. Sometimes too much that he turns, and turns his head or cries because he needs space.
