1st Talk

This is Kaylee's first talk in primary. She gave it today and was so cute. So I thought I would share it.
Jesus loved serving others. He was the perfect example of service. During Jesus’s mortal life, he served the poor. He taught the gospel. He fed crowds of hungry people. He washed His disciples’ feet. He healed the sick and even raised the dead. Jesus taught the importance of service. (Friend, Sept. 07)
I give service to others by being obedient to my dad and mom, being nice to my brother, and playing with my friends. I like to say ‘hi’ to others and wave to them. I help my mom with dishes and setting the table. These are some ways I can give service.
You can serve the Lord by serving those around you. You do not have to do something big to serve others. A smile can gladden a friend’s heart. Speaking a kind word, helping a brother or sister, obeying your parents – all are ways you can serve. When we willingly serve, we become more like Christ, and our faith grows. (Friend, Sept. 07)
I am glad that I can serve even when I am young, and it makes me happy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Critters on the run

They had a little critter chase for the kids kids. Their were rabbits, chickens, hens, roosters, goat. Kaylee and this girl caught this rabbit but we let the girl take it. Brody got this rooster. After he caught it, he let it go. He just wanted to catch one. Kaylee was so sad that we could not keep the animals. She said her rabbit could stay in her back pack and sleep with her. They all enjoyed it.

Cowboys & girls

Here are pictures of our cowboy and cowgirl anticipating their events. Brody did the mutten busten and Kaylee did the stick horse race. Brody was the only one out of his cousins his age that would ride the sheep the others back out and got scared. He did really well but did not get a picture of him on the sheep. Kaylee loved the stick horse race.

Swing

Paul playing water baseball at Bear Lake. We did not go camping over the holiday we ended up staying at home. We went to Bear Lake on Saturday with my brother and his family. The water is way down. We brought lots of toys to play in the water, hitting balls, trac ball, frisbee, and of course food.
